Hugh and Lisa Fosbury first fell in love with Oak Island in 2002, drawn to its relaxed coastal charm and the feeling that life slows down the moment you cross the bridge. What began as a favorite vacation spot soon became something more: a place to build a life, a business, and a legacy for their family.

After years of visiting, they made Oak Island and nearby Southport their permanent home and began their journey in vacation rental management with a home of their own. Their passion for hospitality deepened when they restored a historic 1886 property in downtown Southport into what is now a five-star inn, where they discovered firsthand the impact of thoughtful service and attention to detail.

That passion led them to launch iTrip Oak Island alongside their son James, daughter-in-law Rebecca, and son-in-law Sean, building a truly family-operated business rooted in trust, care, and local expertise. Together, they pair iTrip’s industry-leading technology and marketing reach with hands-on, personalized service that reflects genuine Southern hospitality.
